The other day, while on a trip to the Dollar Store, I browsed their Halloween and crafting supplies and got some inspiration to do a little Halloween craft project. All supplies for this project were purchased at the Dollar Store except for the floral wire, as I already had some at home. However, if you don’t already have some, I have seen floral wire available at some Dollar Stores. Below are my instructions on how I created a budget-friendly Halloween decoration for under $10.00! And as another added plus it also only took me about 30 minutes to put it together!

Step 1:

First, I cut the floral foam with a serrated knife at the desired size. I then put the foam down into the bucket and used the small pieces that I cut to fill in around the edge of the bucket.

Step 2:

Next I cut the floral wire to the lengths I desired. Next, I slid the green mesh tube over the wire and cut it to length. Be sure to make the mesh a little longer than the wire to completely hide the wire.

Step 3:

When I went to attach the eyeball ping pong balls onto the wire, I found that it was easier to first use a small piece of wire to poke a hole into the ball. After I had a hole in each ball, I then attached the ping-pong balls by simply poking the wire into the hole I made. To be sure they stayed in place, I bent each piece of floral wire slightly to keep the ping-pong balls from sliding off. I found that the ping-pong balls stayed in place without needing to use any adhesive.

Step 4:

I picked up a piece of creepy cloth at the Dollar Store and decided to use that to hide the floral foam and add a bit of creepiness to the bucket. Next, I cut the creepy cloth in half as the whole piece was too much. I then shoved it around the stems of my plant while letting some hang down the sides of the bucket until I was happy with the way it looked.

Once completed, I found a place on a shelf to display my new budget-friendly Halloween creation!
